How organisational culture impacts workplace mental health

Speaker: Phil Allison – Managing Director, Corporate Edge

With workers’ wellbeing and mental health continuously being tested, it’s important leaders stop and reflect on their responsibilities in ensuring the safest possible working environment.

Creating Psychological Safety, where each and every team member feels cared for and able to speak up, is critical to not only know how they are feeling but also what can be done to support them.

Phil Allison from Corporate Edge has devoted the last 22 years to helping organisations create People First Cultures, where the baseline understanding is that we are all human first. Starting from there, we can create the structures, processes and interactions necessary to engage and care for our teams.

Biography:

Phil has over 21 years of experience in retail, in Australia, New Zealand and in Singapore and over 22 years in Strategic and Culture Partnering, Leadership Development, Facilitation and Coaching at Corporate Edge. He has previously held positions including Operations Director, General Manager Operations as well as Regional Director of a multi-Billion business.

Prior to starting Corporate Edge, Phil had worked for Woolworths Australia and Dairy Farm International. Phil founded Corporate Edge in 1999 as a behaviour change company and developed a series of concepts, models and processes that facilitate the achievement of potential in both individuals as well as teams. Phil is the Managing Director of Corporate Edge and has grown the business into a regional entity working in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe and the US.
